Amtrak will soon be moving into the former D&RGW Salt Lake City depot. When I stopped by to see the progress of the construction, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place. Work was underway, but once the building was complete, I could tell Amtrak’s future was bright. And, while the train service is moving to a new location, the original Salt Lake City depot will remain in operation.

Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad

For years, Utah residents have dreamed of taking US bucket list vacations a Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad rail trip from Denver to Salt Lake City.
